The Ford Evos concept, formally introduced here – today, on the eve of the 2011 Frankfurt auto show, is the new face of Ford and is expected to influence styling on all its coming cars, said J Mays, the company’s chief designer.
Ford Evos hints at style of the next generation of Ford models
• Four-door coupe with gullwing doors
• Cockpit style cabin
The most important concept car launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show is the Ford Evos.
The Ford Evos isn’t a designer and engineer’s folly though. A stunning four-door coupe with gullwing doors that will inform the design of, and technology fitted to, all new Ford models launched over the next five to ten years. Awesome, and shows a bright future for Ford’s design. Ford’s Group Vice President of Global Design, J Mays said other features that’ll appear in upcoming models include more slender windscreen pillars and simplified lines along the car’s profile.
This information could also tailor how the car drives. Not as such – it’s a concept, although Ford’s design bosses say some of the design features will appear on a new, production Ford within four months
Ford's latest vehicle Ford Evos, launched this week at Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, is not just a driving vehicle. The vehicle has connectivity with the cloud as well.
The Ford's Evos enables drivers to have information about driver's work schedule, suggesting routes during jam-packed traffic, accident warning signs ahead, weather conditions, and adjusting and handling suspension to go well with the road conditions. Ford Evos Concept is built around seamless connectivity between the vehicle and the driver’s ‘personal cloud’ of information that offers driver interaction, said the company in its brochure on the concept car.
"Ford Evos Concept introduces a new design direction for Ford, as the momentum of the company’s global product plan continues to build," said the company in a statement.
With a four-door fastback design, Ford Evos Concept combines a striking new profile.
