2011 Infiniti G37 Reviews

Infiniti G37
Badged as the Infiniti G37 Sport M6 Sedan, our tester on the California curve course rides on a stiff rear-wheel-drive platform rigged with a sport-tuned suspension and awesome torque developed through a big six-cylinder engine borrowed from Nissan's swift 370Z sports car.
The original G35 sedan rolled out in 2002 as a 2003 model cast strictly in RWD format, quickly spawning a racy two-door model.

The G’s platform features front wheels mounted way forward with the engine positioned so that its center of gravity falls behind the front axles. All Infiniti G37 models carry Infiniti's vehicle dynamic control (VDC) device, which automatically checks lateral skidding on slippery pavement.
The three are labeled as a leather-lined base edition Infiniti G37 sedan, the G37 Journey and the G37x AWD Sedan Sport. A version packing the manual transmission is the G37 Sport M6 Sedan.
Fuel economy for the powerful V6 is reasonably good, with a rating of 19/27-mpg (city/highway) for automatic RWD models and 18/25-mpg for AWD versions.

The Infiniti G37 Sport M6 Sedan employs a sport-tuned suspension, quicker steering gear, viscous limited-slip differential, larger 14-inch vented disc brakes with four-piston opposed front calipers and 18x7.5-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with summer performance tires (225/50 front and 245/45 rear).

The 2011 Infiniti G Midsize Cars. Infiniti’s G lineup has something for everyone. The G line has three different body styles (sedan, coupe and convertible) three different engines (ranging from 218 to 348 horsepower) and rear- or all-wheel drive. Although the Infiniti G leans towards being a performance car, it’s still comfortable and luxurious enough for commuting.

If you’re considering an Infiniti G and you want even more performance, the BMW 3-Series should fit the bill. Like the BMW and Infiniti, it also offers a variety of motors, drivetrains and a convertible if you want the wind in your hair. Additionally, the Infiniti G has a slightly larger trunk.

The current cycle began in 2007, which means the fifth-generation Infiniti G37 is due to debut in 2011 if Infiniti follows that trend. Infiniti usually releases new-model vehicles late in the year, so look for the 2011 G37 to hit showrooms in winter of 2010. Read on for our initial auto review of the 2011 Infiniti G37.

Assuming Infiniti basically carries over the 2010 G37 to the 2011 model year, the specs would look something like this:

Pricing: $34,000 MSRP; no invoice pricing available
Fuel economy: city/highway fuel car ratings of 17/26 mpg
Engine: 3.7-liter, 328-horsepower V6
Car safety features: traction control, front-seat side airbags, active head restraints, stability control, and full-length side-curtain airbags
Suspension: optional sport-tuned suspension
Warranty: four-year/60,000-mile basic warranty; six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty; complimentary roadside assistance for warranty period

Online, there are spy photos of a completely redesigned Infiniti G37 sedan. If Infiniti waits until 2012, on the other hand, the 2011 Infiniti G37 should look exactly like the 2010 model.
