The 2011 Volvo C70

2011 Volvo C70
The 2011 Volvo C70. After benefiting from a mild redesign, the 2011 Volvo C70 is no longer an aging hardtop convertible. Practically speaking, the Volvo is ahead of the pack.
If performance is essential for your convertible, it would be wise to test drive the BMW 3-Series or Infiniti G37.

Boasting a fresh look, the 2011 Volvo C70 has undergone some extensive changes on both the exterior and interior. The "2011 Volvo C70" only comes in one trim: turbocharged five-cylinder, front-wheel drive, automatic.

Now days somewhat due to government and EPA regulations, many other vehicles are just as safe as Volvo vehicles. Just recently, we spent a good amount of time in a new 2011 Volvo C70, which comes only as a hard-top convertible. Hard top convertibles are almost in a class of their own. The top opens and closes smoothly with a dashboard message indicator which indicates if the top is fully closed or open. The other complaint would be the lack of trunk space available with the top down but that is a given in any vehicle with a convertible top.

I must say, the Volvo C70 is one of the better-looking convertibles in the compact car segment.
The rear is unmistakable ‘Volvo’ with the newly designed LED taillights (with rear-facing fog lights) blending well into the trunk and motorized folding top cover. Our test vehicle was also optioned out with multimedia package that includes a nice Dynaudio sound system with 12 speakers. One other option included in the multimedia package was the navigation system. Our test vehicle was equipped with Cranberry leather seats that looked great with the top down. The 2011 Volvo C70 is a nice all-round hard-top convertible package, sans the navigation system. Considering Volvo’s track record for building some of the safest cars on the road, the C70 is probably your “safest” bet for a hard-top convertible. The C70 has great looks, is a joy to drive, and has a hard drop-top.

The 2011 Volvo C70 is a car that has caught the imagination of the crowds. Most drivers have claimed that this car is more of a touring car than a sports one.
The 2011 Volvo C70 is a comfortable car perfect for touring. The seats in the rear are however cramped.

The 2011 Volvo C70 manages to keep on upholding the Volvo brand’s stellar safety performance quite nicely. It is equipped with 6 airbags, stability control, anti – lock brakes, a monitoring system for tire pressure and traction control. There are front headrests as standard equipment. The car has not yet got a report card from National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Other standard features of the car are front headrests which are dual- positioned, 17- inch alloy wheels that are diamond-cut and fog lights which are integrated. The Climate package includes headlight washers, quality air filtering and front seat heating.
